Allergy advice

  • Can Fluarix Tetra be used for patients with an egg allergy?

    Fluarix Tetra is contraindicated for patients with an egg allergy as it contains traces of eggs (ovalbumin and chicken proteins). For further information, please speak to a member of the GSK Medical Information team on 0800 221 441. 

  • Can Fluarix Tetra be used for patients with a latex allergy?

    As of September 2016, Fluarix Tetra will be provided as a pre-filled syringe with a ‘loose needle’. More specifically, the new presentation of Fluarix Tetra will be a luer-lock (PRTC) pre-filled syringe (that is co-packaged with accompanying 25mm 25G needle). This updated needle presentation contains neither NRL (natural rubber latex) nor DNR (dry natural rubber).
